I want to like exa, but its default color choices are hot garbage. Don’t these people who use purple ever try using a terminal with a black background?

Bad idea of the day: Rather than having a ‘madness’ mechanic, have a ‘stress’ mechanic that causes perceptual distortion (tunnel vision, increased color contrast, blurred vision, louder environmental sounds) & motor distortion (worse aim, movement delays)
Bad idea of the day: replace whitespace with color changes
Bad idea of the day: run deOldify on manga pages, consider the new color schemes canon, move to a surreal universe of floating pastels

@freemor@freemor.homelinux.net I thought so too. Color me surprised when I surveyed my follow programmers in my dept and only 3 out 12 knew what I was talking about.
@mdom@domgoergen.com: I’m using txtnish on FreeBSD and I had to switch it to gawk (not sure why BSD awk fails) and disable color. Just fyi. I didn’t look into it any further.

Band name of the day: impossible color
The opposite of ‘interesting’ is ‘colorful’.
Remember the good old [hellenic] days, when political parties were sports teams and were also named after their jersey colors, and politicians were elected via lottery?

Bad idea of the day: Rearrange the frames of a movie so that each frame is followed by the remaining frame that has the minimum (or maximum) difference, in terms first of brightness and then of color
Bad idea of the day: Sort the frames of a movie by average color & play it that way

@quite@lublin.se Ah sorry, should have checked the commit. #twet is officially the first twtxt client with colors! :)
Thanks @kdave@kdave.github.io for the new default colors. And colored hashtags are also a thing now. And text wrapping at 76 characters. #txtnix

Does anybody have a good idea for a default color set? I used the first color that crossed my mind, so the default theme is rather ugly.
The colors are configurable with a new configuration block: [color] nick = bright_yellow time = red on_green mention = grey10
You have to set use_color = 1 and display_format = pretty to get colorized output in #txtnix.
@quite@lublin.se Woah, we both implemented ANSI color support for #twet and #txtnix at the same time!
