Urban Fish Ponds: Low-tech Sewage Treatment for Towns andĀ Cities
In the mid 20th century, whole citiesā sewage systems safely and successfully used fish to treat and purify their water. Waste-fed fish ponds are a low-tech, cheap, and sustainable alternative to deal with our own shit ā and to obtain high protein food in theĀ process. ā Read more

Many are very upset about the return of RMS, and how that could be seen to legitimise his views. I knew nothing about his views, really, controversial or otherwise. Iām currently correcting that. I do like how heās acknowledged that his views on certain controversial subjects has changed since 2013; an admission that he was wrong. Emergency: re: YouTube
Hi everyone.
YouTube has given an arbitrary strike to one of my videos.
I am temporarily blocked and banned from posting on YouTube for a week.
I mentioned in a stream that I was planning to wean myself off YouTube as a platform in 2021,
but now I might have to move faster, only three strikes means a permanent channel deletion.

@adi@twtxt.net āI usually seen the opposite. Women are more interested in longevity and happy that studies show that they live more than men.ā -> I probably could have been clearer: It seems to me that women are on average much less interested in life-extension (methods beyond usual health advice such as the old āexercise, eat vegetablesā) than men. This might just be founder/sampling bias (life extension comes out of the relatively male dominated libertarian/techno-optimist cluster). Actually, maybe thereās just a variance thing here: median man cares less about his longevity than the median woman, but the variance for men is higher.

EA makes sense in a very different way to me (phenomenologically, probably closest to philosophical high valence states it evokes).
