Overall I'm definitely not sold on it yet, while I do like fiddling around with new protocol stuff I am also very wary of the crypto-libertarian ethos that is driving the Nostr project.

Censorship-resistance

Each user can publish their updates to any number of relays.
A relay can charge a fee (the negotiation of that fee is outside of the protocol for now) from users to publish there, which ensures censorship-resistance (there will always be some Russian server willing to take your money in exchange for serving your posts).

This part of the doc, makes absolutely no sense to me 😅
