Speaking of Rust: I talked to a Rust enthusiast the other day. She said she’s pretty satisfied with Rust’s comprehensive standard library. I was just like: “Huh?!” In my experience, you need a third-party library for pretty much anything.

It didn’t grow at all, because I didn’t write a single line of Rust since then. 😢 I hardly wrote any code at all in the last few months, let alone start new projects that are worth being written in Rust (as opposed to “I can do this as a shellscript or in Python – mentally, Rust is a replacement for C for me).
