[ANN] A faster alternative to blockchain consensus

Instead of confirmation coming from outside of transactions, it would be better for it to come from within them. Ideally, every output would be tied to the input that spends it, so it can’t be double-spent. But, this can’t be done before the input exists, so the output must be tied to an intermediary, which gets tied to the input after it’s created.

The last week I’ve been playing around with https://github.com/comfyanonymous/ComfyUI , dang good tool for testing ai models and such. I really like the node based workflow.
And makes it super easy to test any AI model.
Only thing I miss now - is one of those image to video setup’s, that’s what I’m working on fixing now. So that I can generate images, and then automatically make them into short videos as well.

[ANN] [PROPOSAL] Add optional is_gift and txs parameter and create a new gift standard

There is currently no easy and safe standard way to gift Monero to people around you. It is possible to gift a wallet containing money. Webfinger can be an add-on to help lookup people, and it can be made independent of the nick by just serving the same json regardless of the nick as people do with static sites and a as I implemented it on darch.dk (wf endpoint). @xuu@txt.sour.is Thanks for the link. I found a pdf on one of the authors’ home pages: https://ahmadhassandebugs.github.io/assets/pdf/quic_www24.pdf . I wonder how the protocol was evaluated closer to the time it became a standard, and whether anything has changed. I wonder if network speeds have grown faster than CPU speeds since then. The paper says the performance is around the same below around 600 Mbps.

To be fair, I don’t think QUIC was ever expected to be faster for transferring a single stream of data. I think QUIC is supposed to reduce the impact of a dropped packet by making sure it only affects the stream it’s part of. I imagine QUIC still has that advantage, and this paper is showing the other side of a tradeoff.

I started adding functionality from the 'yarn desktop client' ( https://github.com/stig-atle/YarnDesktopClient ) I've been working on - and now I see if I can get the same functionality up and running with flutter. Currently I'm able to log in and fetch the logged in user's username at least (the text :username: is fetched after logging in), so it's a good start. That means I have the things I need to fetch the timeline and present that next.

Current flutter source has been pushed - https://github.com/stig-atle/YarnDesktopClient , flutter source is in main branch. The GTK4 version is in it’s own branch (just wanted to keep a copy of that too).
Keep in mind it’s early version. But it does have the basics implemented.
