Arnaud Joset: Updates: chatty server and HTTPAuthentificationOverXMPP
It’s been a long time since I updated this blog. It will be a short update post about two projects.
The first is chatty_server, a small XMPP bot I use to interact with my server. It allows me to get information about the CPU load, traffic, weather etc.

I believe the benefit/risk calculation is that a passphrase is more memorable to users then a random string of alnum + symbol. i can remember the 20-30 chars in a passphrase quicker and longer than a 8-10 random.
ultimately they hold nowhere near the benefit of passphrase + MFA

I have to wonder… It should be possible to do “passphrase” attacks just like “dictionary” attacks? How is a “phrase” any different to the character set you can type? Sure there are more possible “words” (at least) in the English language, but I’m not convinced.

@sdk@codevoid.de a random mix into the the twtxt file seems less clean to me. The former would be easier to implement and simpler for another program to get and parse.
@nblade@nblade.sdf.org: It’s just an idea. Not a clean one thoug, as clients would not know upfront who serves such a fiele and who not. Another idea would ne to mix a number of random followers into the twtxt file, which are updated when a person tweets.
you might want to consider whether you really want your decisions to be based on what random people on the internet say.
