@prologic@twtxt.net @quark@ferengi.one is displayed as unlinked in your comments. Strangely, your older comments (before refollowing last night) do show as linked.
@prologic@twtxt.net I’m already on the latest. Looks like you need to unfollow and refollow.
Problem is, I need @fastidious@tt.vltra.plus to unfollow me from the previous domain. If he is not using this anymore, can I force an unfollow?
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus At the moment, while many Johns can follow you, you will only see the first one in your list. Likewise I am following quark and quark2. I believe @prologic@twtxt.net is aware of this and aiming to fix with john@domain
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus I believe when @prologic@twtxt.net types to mention you it will reference the previous account as he is still following that one. If he now follows you at tt.vltra.plus I believe it replaces the previous one.
Now, I don’t see you following me because I already have one fastidious :(
@prologic@twtxt.net is following you at arrakis.netbros.com and my list says you are following me from arrakis.netbros.com. @fastidious@tt.vltra.plus I am following you at tt.vltra.plus
@prologic@twtxt.net First edit just removed tool tips, second one (deletes the line) removes the button when there’s no more pages, as you commented about @fastidious@tt.vltra.plus ’s idea.
@eldersnake@yarn.andrewjvpowell.com Another pod! Nice :)
@adi@f.adi.onl @fastidious@tt.vltra.plus Okay, I’ve documented my changes here :)
https://git.mills.io/laz/yarn/src/branch/vltra_plus
Merged yarns latest changes and rebuilt and running now :)
@quark@twtxt.netbros.com yeah I gotta stop using my main for testing. What time-zone are you in?
@prologic@twtxt.net What is the etiquette for doing this, and for documenting my other stylistic changes? Do I fork your project or just create my own project with the few files I change?
Can I create an account on https://git.mills.io/ ?
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus Yeah, I need to learn how to do that!
Padding has been reverted now. If you clear your cache, mobile should look good again.
I just removed the hover tooltips for Prev / Next (when there no more pages).
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus Ah, yes. Actually it wasn’t like this earlier today. This is something I just changed and stuffed up now.
I increased the padding as I noticed the hover for Prev was being cropped. Now I see the consequence of this to the mobile page :(
@prologic@twtxt.net Yes, this is what I’ve done.
I’m just highlighting that other sites are allowing anyone to toggle this and flip between ‘public network’ and ‘known network’.
Then again, some owners might prefer not to use this e.g. a single-user pod as a personal microblog.
@prologic@twtxt.net I mean you have basically done it already.
Just the pod admin chooses to enable or not with discover_all_posts
instead of a public toggle button.
@movq@www.uninformativ.de Nice one!
@prologic@twtxt.net Baby typo :)
@prologic@twtxt.net I just enabled it a short time ago! Pod looks a lot more lively for someone arriving and not logged in. Good job!
I think Pleorma does something like this, and allows you to switch between users on the pod instance only and the wider network.
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus Okay, you will notice I have styled it narrower now, too. Not as narrow as adi’s, though. I haven’t worked out how the top menu works.

pods. 🤔 Also thinking about creating a spec around this cc @lyse -- This would be used for two purposes a) To advertise (alongside your feed, the header is really easy to add even with NGINX) your "profile" data and b) So other pods can use this information and in turn mobile clients like Goryon. I think it's a pretty simple addition, alal IndieWeb-style, just add a simple header that links to a JSON document...
@prologic@twtxt.net @lyse@lyse.isobeef.org Cool, shouldn’t there just be a default link to a users twt blogs? e.g. Twt blogs for prologic Twt blogs for jlj.
An additional link for an external blog, I’m sure would be welcome, too!
@mckinley@twtxt.net Also, Snikket is supposed to be a simpler way to setup a prosody server. Movim adds blogging to xmpp, but I think the web front end can be used with any server.
@mckinley@twtxt.net I’ve used both. Conversations is fine; Blabber.im and Monocles are forks with very minor changes. I’m using Monocles atm mainly because the forks added an amoled option. Monal is the other iOS app that might get a little more maintenance. iOS options are weaker.

@prologic@twtxt.net No link to blogs in profile.
@prologic@twtxt.net @thejuicemedia@feeds.twtxt.net ‘Cool and normal, pal’. It’s worrying that such decisions are thought to be necessary to strengthen our alliances. Otherwise, we have to conclude that Australia is not a sovereign state.

@prologic@twtxt.net @lyse@lyse.isobeef.org Would it be easy enough to add a link to an external user’s blog (twts)? Currently, users won’t be aware that an external user has any unless they navigate away from the hosting pod to the external pod.
I’ve noticed @darch@twtxt.net is following me from twtxt.net but from my side it says he ‘does not follow you’ 🤔
@prologic@twtxt.net I wouldn’t worry about it, mate. If I can figure it out, I’m sure others can, too. You must have higher priorities. I’m just playing with what I can.
I saw @adi@f.adi.onl had squarish avatars, then I realised this is how xmpp apps display them also. The old-school social media style :)
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus @prologic@twtxt.net @darch@twtxt.net Not on version control but I can share with you. 01-pico.css 99-twtxt.css
How do you feel about squarish avatars ;)
Welcome, @fastidious@tt.vltra.plus!
You are the first to join this Yarn.social pod :)
Which one do we need? app.apk?
@prologic@twtxt.net @adi@f.adi.onl @darch@twtxt.net (#e7igxvq) Yes, yours looks clean, and fits with your minimal philosophy and website. I kinda like the card background of each twt, and I like having muted text. I don’t know if I’ve got the right purple here, or just too much purple…
@darch@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net Trying a purple dark mode theme :)
@prologic@twtxt.net Governments are probably fine with it so long as the top are able to evade it themselves. Outsources the data collection for free. Government can just demand access to the data for their own purposes.
@slashdot@feeds.twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net Probably so they can better surveil and hack their own citizens like Australia with their Identify and Disrupt bill.
@darch@twtxt.net Oh, yeah I am anticipating the purple yarn ball.
@darch@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net Thanks for both compliments :)
First time for me using svg code. This was just the first font I tried, a standard Adobe font.
@prologic@twtxt.net Can’t you just open a browser with the light theme enabled? 🤔
@xuu@txt.sour.is @antonio @prologic@twtxt.net @darch@twtxt.net @eldersnake@yarn.andrewjvpowell.com @jlj@twt.nfld.uk I will try mate. It would be a token of appreciation, but not something I can commit to on an ongoing basis, I’m afraid. This will force me to finally get someone from my Aussie bank on the phone hah
preflight.sh
(POSIX compliant shell script) that should help with common build problems with yarnd
cc @fastidious 🤗 Hoping this will help resolve early/common issues in building the project's source code 🤞 What do you think? Also cc @adi @jlj @darch @eldersnake @laz and @xuu
@eldersnake@yarn.andrewjvpowell.com @xuu @fastidious @adi@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net @jlj@twt.nfld.uk @darch@twtxt.net I’m using the Dockerfile. Have you changed anything in this for your builds? How do I change the version during the build to get the same as yours instead of ‘yarnd 0.0.0@HEAD’
I edited the light theme on my pod. I wanted something slightly less contrasty.
I removed the avatar border for a simpler design and increased the size 5px so I can see you better :)
@mckinley@twtxt.net Always badly…
I have moved over to storing on my nextcloud. First using the bookmark app, but I don’t often return there to find something. Now I just paste recent links into nextcloud notes so I can easily group a series, and move from phone to pc. That requires a clean up now and then
@movq@www.uninformativ.de Legend!
@adi@twtxt.net I found porkbun by whois’ing another site. I moved over from Gandi.net and saved some money.
Although, lower prices can temp you to purchase more domains :D
I noticed feeds (Dilbert and slashdot) coming into my timeline today :)
I don’t think I changed anything on my end.
The twtxt.net Feeds is not looking too healthy from here
I tried to follow the Dilbert feeds from my pod, but twts do not show in the Timeline. Also, if you guys comment on slashdot/lobste.rs, I see your twts, but there is no ‘Conversation’ button
@prologic@twtxt.net Well, we did have SARS-CoV-1, H5N1, H1N1 before this book. It is a hypothetical circumstance. Both Kahneman and N.N. Taleb have a general skepticism of any anyone described as an expert. It’s the naive public that in general fetishizes experts and considers them beyond reproach.
