I edited the light theme on my pod. I wanted something slightly less contrasty.
I removed the avatar border for a simpler design and increased the size 5px so I can see you better :)
@prologic@twtxt.net Can’t you just open a browser with the light theme enabled? 🤔
@darch@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net Thanks for both compliments :)
First time for me using svg code. This was just the first font I tried, a standard Adobe font.
@darch@twtxt.net Oh, yeah I am anticipating the purple yarn ball.
@darch@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net Trying a purple dark mode theme :)
@prologic@twtxt.net @adi@f.adi.onl @darch@twtxt.net (#e7igxvq) Yes, yours looks clean, and fits with your minimal philosophy and website. I kinda like the card background of each twt, and I like having muted text. I don’t know if I’ve got the right purple here, or just too much purple…
@prologic @darch @laz@tt.vltra.plus do you have this on version control somewhere online? I would love to fiddle with the stylesheet you changed!
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus @prologic@twtxt.net @darch@twtxt.net Not on version control but I can share with you. 01-pico.css 99-twtxt.css
How do you feel about squarish avatars ;)
@laz@tt.vltra.plus @prologic @darch thank you! Squarish avatars are easier to handle, align text to it, etc. I am a big fan of Mastodon, and that’s the way they handle avatars. For me, Mastodon is an example of design to be followed.
@prologic@twtxt.net I wouldn’t worry about it, mate. If I can figure it out, I’m sure others can, too. You must have higher priorities. I’m just playing with what I can.
I saw @adi@f.adi.onl had squarish avatars, then I realised this is how xmpp apps display them also. The old-school social media style :)

I also like that he has styled for a narrower page, which it is easier to read, and more suitable for images (they can be set to 100%).
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus Okay, you will notice I have styled it narrower now, too. Not as narrow as adi’s, though. I haven’t worked out how the top menu works.
@laz@tt.vltra.plus I noticed it. There is a negative side effect, though: is also narrower on mobile (which should not). Yarnd has a few @media entries on its CSS, I am sure one of them needs to be fiddled with to accomplish a better mobile experience.
@fastidious@tt.vltra.plus Ah, yes. Actually it wasn’t like this earlier today. This is something I just changed and stuffed up now.
I increased the padding as I noticed the hover for Prev was being cropped. Now I see the consequence of this to the mobile page :(
