@laz@tt.vltra.plus @prologic@twtxt.net aha! That makes sense, and explains it is, indeed, an issue. Cool so, something like Mastodon does. ☺️
@laz@tt.vltra.plus @prologic@twtxt.net yup, and that is a problem. There might be many john
s, all different yet all john, what is going to happen then?
@laz@tt.vltra.plus @prologic@twtxt.net I understand that, but the one at arrakis.netbros.com
hasn’t been involved on this conversation, at all. I am following you here, on vltra.plus, from my local account here (check your followers and you shall see me, otherwise, that’s another glitch).
@prologic@twtxt.net @laz@tt.vltra.plus you keep mentioning a “fastidious” that doesn’t exist here, @prologic@twtxt.net. I am fastidious here (tt.vltra.plus), and @fastidious@tt.vltra.plus
is the only one on this conversation, yet, your mentions are for @fastidious@arrakis.netbros.com
. I think it is a bug on Yarnd.
@prologic@twtxt.net no one I know gets paid weekly. Make everything monthly, and I could subscribe to that definition.
Who—still—browses Slashdot? Slashdot is so 1990s. If I didn’t know any better, I would think you guys are boomers. 😂
Also confused on her being Romanian, and its relation with the whole donation thing. 🤯
You asked for a donation from the creator? I am confused. 😂
Try to make it the less busy possible. Also, could those links not open new tabs? Or could such behaviour be made configurable?
@laz@tt.vltra.plus using normal tooltips is also better than the huge ones in use today.
Yeah, I need to learn how to do that!
This is what you need to do. Instructions are for GitHub, but truly apply to git.
Moving the username and date/time 2 or 4 of pixels up, and making the date/time font slightly smaller will make it look better.
@laz@tt.vltra.plus please consider putting you changes on version control somewhere, as that will keep them up-to-date. I like them!
@laz@tt.vltra.plus I noticed it. There is a negative side effect, though: is also narrower on mobile (which should not). Yarnd has a few @media entries on its CSS, I am sure one of them needs to be fiddled with to accomplish a better mobile experience.
@adi @prologic @laz@tt.vltra.plus
I saw @adi had squarish avatars, then I realised this is how xmpp apps display them also. The old-school social media style :)
I also like that he has styled for a narrower page, which it is easier to read, and more suitable for images (they can be set to 100%).
@laz@tt.vltra.plus @prologic @darch thank you! Squarish avatars are easier to handle, align text to it, etc. I am a big fan of Mastodon, and that’s the way they handle avatars. For me, Mastodon is an example of design to be followed.
@prologic @darch @laz@tt.vltra.plus do you have this on version control somewhere online? I would love to fiddle with the stylesheet you changed!
Just realised that there are avatars you can upload (it will say successful), but will not work. It has to be a combination of size, format, compression, or similar, which is causing it not to show. Good thing I know which works, for sure. 🙂
@laz@tt.vltra.plus thank you! I love the colours you have picked!
