I’m on a train again. This time I’m going home from Hudiksvall after a
grueling weekend.

I went from Malmö on Thursday morning and worked the entire day on
trains. I arrived in Ljusdal after close to nine hours. I checked in
at the only hotel in town again and, after a quick meal and glass of
wine, went over to a very sad dad with a bottle of Macallan. We didn’t
empty it but we sure tried. I got back to the hotel pretty late.

@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org yeah, with proper clothing its pretty nice. After I came home it turned into snow, and it snows really hard, so tomorrow I have the fun task of clearing as much as I can :)
Its about 2 at night now, just walked the dog after fireworks has calmed down. He was super excited to see all the snow.. but now its time for some sleep :)

@movq@www.uninformativ.de I lasted for a long time.. Not sure where or when it was “got”. We had been having a cold go around with the kiddos for about a week when the wife started getting sicker than normal. Did a test and she was positive. We tested the rest of the fam and got nothing. Till about 2 days later and myself and the others were positive. It largely hasn’t been too bad a little feaver and stuffy noses.

But whatever it was that hit a few days ago was horrible. Like whatever switch in my head that goes to sleep mode was shut off. I would lay down and even though I felt sleepy, I couldn’t actually go to sleep. The anxiety hit soon after and I was just awake with no relief. And it persisted that way for three nights. I got some meds from the clinic that seemed to finally get me to sleep.

Now the morning after I realized for all that time a part of me was missing. I would close my eyes and it would just go dark. No imagination, no pictures, nothing. Normally I can visualize things as I read or think about stuff.. But for the last few days it was just nothing. The waking up to it was quite shocking.

Though its just the first night.. I guess I’ll have to see if it persists. 🤞

Always nice to do a walk, and fun to test stuff like GPS and such :) I’ve been walking a bit as well today, but also had some nice time at home, I work a bit this weekend, so I’ve spent some time on that. We had a really nice day today, dog woke up early (as he always does during the weekend), and I went for a walk in the forest while the rest of the house got to sleep some extra. When I got back we went to a fleamarket, and then we went to a farmersmarket in town, was really nice, and tons of things to see :) And a bit later today we’ll have nachos, and I spend some time on my computer. also, our dog does not sleep long on weekends, but today I refused to get up early once he started to get riled up I walked over to his crate, told him to sleep, sniffed my hand and he then stopped and got back to sleep, did that two times, and got up at 10 instead of 8. felt great!

The weight is not oppressive, but just right, and also makes me feel somehow more tired than usual before I sleep, and then let me fall asleep almost immediately, as if flipping a switch.
