My grandpa went ballooning ages ago and liked it. The balloonist misjudged the height a bit and landed in an open-air pool. Well, not in the water, but on the sunbathing lawn just inside the fence. :-D After the ride, everybody was given a very long personal name that they had to memorize. Decades later, my grandpa still knew his assigned name.

I bought the âremasteredâ versions of Grim Fandango and Forsaken on GOG, because theyâre super cheap at the moment. Both have native Linux versions.
And both these Linux version crap their pants. đ«€ The bundled SDL2 of Forsaken says it âcanât find a matching GLX visualâ and I couldnât figure out how to fix that. I didnât spend a lot of time on Grim Fandango.

Hereâs the plot twist, the phrase âtill the cows come homeâ. Hahaha, I never heard this before, but I love it! Itâs always interesting to me to hear English sayings. Sometimes we have the same in German, sometimes â like in this case â entirely different ones. Itâs fascinating that even though one hasnât come across proverbs, itâs typically still clear from the context whatâs meant.

How I archive my favorite TV show to get rid of Amazon Prime
Iâm a fan of the German TV series âNotruf Hafenkanteâ, which is shown on the public broadcaster ZDF and is also available on their website. New episodes are released weekly, and older episodes are also made available on a regular basis. After a few months, however, they are no longer available for free.
