@movq@www.uninformativ.de I havenât used KDE or GNOME for ages, but Iâm sure KDE at least used to show application icons in the title bars. They proabably still do. But then, one could argue that KDE is mimicking Windows. I never thought like that, I always found KDE way superior, because I was able to configure it like a madman.
In i3, I donât have any application icons. I remember missing them at the beginning. But I donât even have the classical minimize, maximize and close buttons in the title bar either. Just the title. Being mostly keyboard driven and a tiling window manager, these buttons are not super useful, anyway.
@f1ee6 Hello, for my part, Iâm discovering Gopher :-). Really cool to give a little life to old computers. For the moment, I access Gopher from an old Mac G3/OS9, lynx on linux on an I3 laptop and for fun, Gopher from my old Palm PDA with Overbite. Lots of good things to all, friendship from France ;-)

@mox@tilde.town Here the snippet from my #i3 config: https://paste.debian.net/1093996/
@mdosch@mdosch.de yeah i love how little i touch the mouse/touchpad when iâm on i3
@mox@tilde.town I am also using #i3 for some month and really like it. Also I switched to TUI/CLI programs for some tasks: https://blog.mdosch.de/2019/06/06/tui-programme/ (#German). Itâs a lot more efficient when you donât have to change between keyboard and mouse/touchpad so often.
i just started using i3 (i3-gaps) on my laptop and holy shit this is so wonderful⌠i had no idea tiling WMs were so amazing but iâm never going back
