Trying to figure out how to fix the Open Teating track in the Play Store so users actually get the right damn version on Android with Google Play 😳

Why is this so hard πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

In-reply-to > @lukas I think this might shed some light on the background. Bottomline, @prologic used (and registered the domain for) twtxt originally---his yarnd pod still runs at twtxt.net---which was the name chosen by buckket for his client, and format specification.

When I first started out this was literally just a web client and noubing more and was just a toy called prologic/twtxt πŸ˜†

Today however it’s far from just a toy and nothing really like Twtxt at all πŸ˜‚ (despite the fact we still use the spec)

@lukas Couple of questions btw…

a) Do you mind if I add your pod to an internal ad-hoc script ./tools/check-pod-versions.sh – Mostly used by hand for the time being.
b) Is your pod intended as a single-user pod or mulit-user?

If the later, do you want it listed on the landing page? πŸ€”

In-reply-to > This is soo cool @lukas πŸ˜…

@lukas Too bad πŸ˜… Pod peering information only updates once per day πŸ˜‚ But I’m so happy you got your pod online! Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to improve setting up and configuring a pod! We have a WIki which we hope to continue to populate with documentation that doesn’t fit on the landing page πŸ‘Œ

In-reply-to > @anth Also mate... No reason you can't reply with the "thread" in tact in whatever client you're using now πŸ˜… We dropped the URIs so just reply with the (#xxxxxxx) in tact πŸ‘Œ

Oh wait you did πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Nevermind! Some time ago we started stripping the Twt Hashing from our clients so we don’t even notice now πŸ˜‚

#fy6vqqa

(#okclp6a) @lukas Oh thank goodness! πŸ˜‚ I was just now trying to figure out how to reach out to you to see if I could help πŸ€— Glad you got it sorted!

Is there something we can put into our Wiki or change some backend behaviour to avoid whatever mishap you ran in to? πŸ€”

In-reply-to > We had the tiniest bit of snow in the morning, but 99% melted over the day. However, as expected our local mountain acted as a good snow storage. My mate and I called it a day quite early and went up there. The main path was closed off with a simple sign, that recommended to use the sneaky trail on the other side instead, so we followed that suggestion. Going uphill we noticed, that there had not been a lot of traffic and we ended up being the only two people up there. On the way back we just went down the main path without issues. My fingers froze a bit in the end, I need to get better gloves. Sorry, the images are a bit blue. https://lyse.isobeef.org/waldspaziergang-2021-12-07/

@lyse I showed my two daughters too πŸ˜… They loved it! 😍
