In-reply-to » GAEでyarn.socialをホスティングしたかったけど、これまたストレージ関連は専用のAPI叩かないといけないっぽい...? ダメだなこりゃ...

@kaniyama_t@yarn.takuma-csirt.com I probably wouldn’t recommend it, no. I mean really if you want to just host a feed, its just a simple text file on any random web server (even Github Pages will do). But running the yarnd full web app, backend and API on GAE is nothing something I’ve ever considered.

In-reply-to » 現実的なのはこっちかな。 というかcmd/yarnd/main.goを参考にGAE上で動くようなコードを書くとかになりそう

@kaniyama_t@yarn.takuma-csirt.com As most of us in the community are proponents of “Small Web” we tend not to care to much about running things in “big-tech” “clouds” – So I haven’t considered running a Yarn.social pod yarnd in CloudRun, GKE or GAE or any other “SaaS/PaaS” for that matter 🤣

@kaniyama_t@yarn.takuma-csirt.com You can just implement another store that satisfies the interface. But I do have to ask… Why would you want to run this in CloduRun? 😅

@kaniyama_t@yarn.takuma-csirt.com It’s just a text file that I use occasionally to see what pods are out there and whate version they’re on 😅 – I can remove your pod if you like, no problems 👌

In-reply-to » Whelp, @prologic, Google can't help but be Google, and I shouldn't have believed you... Russ Cox wants to build telemetry directly into the core Go tools: https://github.com/golang/go/discussions/58409

I would encourage y’all to also vote this nonsense down and make a small comment from your point of view 🙏

In-reply-to » Whenever I face an overwhelmingly long todo list, I add an item to "triage todo list", meaning to look through and remove items that don't need to be done right away. The first item I triage is the "triage todo list" item. Then I go back to procrastinating. This strategy has worked well for me over the years.

@abucci@anthony.buc.ci That sounds like an infinite loop 😆

In-reply-to » Business pushing for recession. They all over hired during the pandemic to meet higher traffic levels and now those levels are dropping back to normal. absolutely bad resource planning all around.

Curious why a business would push for a recession. 🤔 The poor resourcing I totally get 🤦‍♂️

In-reply-to » @bender No, it's not a simple password. I can't recall who else I've given the credentials to. The only other place where the credentials live (sadly in the clear) in on the Apple App Store for Apple's App Store review team to use. I smell abuse here 😅

Looks like whoever it was tried to paste a link and failed 🤣
