In-reply-to » Did some more work on the timeline stuff today, now I have added parsing of each status, so that I can get the data I need from each status (user, image url, text, links - all that stuff I need).

This is already in the API responses hmmm 🤔

In-reply-to » Is it worth having more than one operator especially for multi/user pods?

@screem@twtxt.net I don’t want it to. I think its an anti-pattern. We should encourage folks to spin up their own 👌 I don’t want to get into the game of “moderating” 🤦‍♂️ I don’t have time for it, just build good tools for users to use, which we have now: Unfollow, Mute, etc…

In-reply-to » Good Morning. Still a bit sick today. But getting better. My Corona-warning App updated this morning and showed new contacts in the last 5 days. So, I did test myself and luckily, it was negative! We isolated ourselves to not get anything before going on vacation, and now coming back we are sick with little coughing and a head cold (running nose) 🤧.

@carsten@yarn.zn80.net No it was a regression on my pod that I fixed earlier today 🤦‍♂️ Sorry about that 😢

In-reply-to » DuckDuckGo Newsletter: Incognito Mode isn't as private as some people believe. Avoid "fingerprinting" — when companies combine details about your browser and device to create a unique ID — with DuckDuckGo apps and extensions. https://www.sciencefocus.com/science/how-incognito-is-incognito-mode-on-your-internet-browser/

@carsten@yarn.zn80.net I don’t understand how this is a good thing?! 🤦‍♂️

With TrustPID, the traffic of a customer account is marked with a kind of token that can be linked to the SIM card number or the mobile phone number, for example. The data traffic marked in this way by the network operator is then used to create a personal profile, which advertisers and website operators can then access.

In-reply-to » At my work email address I've started receiving spams with titles like "Resolving Wifi issues' or "troubleshooting wifi issues". It's weird to suddenly be getting so many spams with such similar titles, so I wonder if that's a new technique spammers are using to avoid filters.

@abucci@anthony.buc.ci Interesting 🤔 Fortunately I’ve not been getting anything like that 😆

In-reply-to » Hey @david 👋 You've probably no doubt seen already (good morning too btw ☕️x1), but I got most things working after you went to bed 🤣 Including basic support for threading 🥳 -- Still lots of work to do, there's one aspect of threading that I still need to work out and I'm quite sure there will still be bugs to uncovered and code improvements, etc. There's also some things to improve with the interop with profiles, follow/unfollow as well... Anyway things are looking pretty good at the moment 🤞

@marado@twtxt.net Hmmm yeah recently I added super for threading 😆 It’s not 100% complete yet but most things are working I think 🤔

@carsten@yarn.zn80.net I can’t find the link sorry, but that whole TrustPID sounds ever worse, why would anyone agree to being tracked? 🤔

In-reply-to » Welp, after a few harrowing days, I managed to recover all my data from a failing ZFS pool. It had been serving me well, with no significant issue since 2013, about 10 years at this point. But the time has come to destroy it, which I did. Goodbye old friend. 😢

@abucci@anthony.buc.ci What about just restoring from backups? 🤔

@abucci@anthony.buc.ci What happened to it? How did you recover all the data? 🤔
