@eapl.me@eapl.me I look forward to it 🙏
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org Not an electric fence, but e fence nonetheless to prevent cows from entering neighboring properties.
registries are kind of complicated. Which registry do you register your feed to? 🤔
@movq@www.uninformativ.de I prefer this to happen using search engines and crawlers
@marado@twtxt.net Me. too 😆
Correction, @ocdtrekkie@twtxt.net will likely join ina. couple of hours, but I’ll start the call now anyway in case anyone wants to join in the meantime. I’ll be around 👌
@ocdtrekkie@twtxt.net And I are probably going to jump into an ad-hoc call at some point soon™ today (maybe in a few mins or so) if anyone wants to join us?
@eapl.me@eapl.me I’d love to see some of your ideas contributed back to our spec and maybe a new home for the specs too and new website? 🙏 I purchased the domain twtxt.dev
for this very purpose, it would be nice to move the specs there and build a “developer” centric website for all things Twtxt clients and specs? 🤔
@eapl.me@eapl.me This is cool! 👌 Any plans on contributing your specs/extensions back to the rest of us? 😅
@eapl.me@eapl.me Probably going to play with sloth.dev this weekend + push our a new version of Yarn.social’s Mobile App 🤞
@eapl.me@eapl.me Nice! 👌 I love how you’ve improved pubtwtxt 😍
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org That is pretty sweet 😍
Go-http-client/2.0
in the twtxt logs, what
client is it?, should I ban it's IP?
@bender@twtxt.net Yeah, however this is just a standard non-customised Go client of some kind. Nothing more.
@jmjl@tilde.green Basically “yes”;
Last seen today
jmjl follows you
I don’t even need to check per se, becuase that’s what this data is populated from.
@jmjl@tilde.green @movq@www.uninformativ.de To be honest I see no point in supporting the so-called “Registry” APi. A registry implies a piece of “centralisation” that really feels counter to the point of a decentralised Twtxt ecosystem IMO 👌 There is just simply no value.
@thecanine@twtxt.net Yeah 😢
Both fonts are terrible to read for me. You really hurt the vision impaired by choosing such grainy poorly bendered fonts 😢
@eapl.me@eapl.me Hey tell me about this I found on your feed? 🙏
And my extensions is soon to be released
@win0err@kolesnikov.se Any in particular you like or can recommend?
@eapl.me@eapl.me I’m not convinced you could to be honest. I think the possibility of stealing your OTP keys is quite high in that case, and would become the target of attack.
Go-http-client/2.0

@jmjl@tilde.green Not a yarnd
client. We make our user agent very clear 👌

/the fediverse for a few days and already I've had to mute somebody. I know I come on strongly with my opinions sometimes and some people don't like that, but this person had already started going ad hominem (in my reading of it), and was using what felt to me like sketchy tactics to distract from the point I was trying to make and to shut down conversation. They were doing similar things to other people in the thread so rather than wait for it to get bad for me I just muted them. People get so weirdly defensive so fast when you disagree with something they said online. Not sure I fully understand that.
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci I was more referring to the network-level control which you have little to no control over.
@darch@neotxt.dk Looks interesting, I shall read up more on it 👌

Well the experience you describe is one of the reasons I also don’t like Mastodon/Activity Pub as it trends towards being “too much” and if everything is pushed at you, you have little choice but to either mute or block at the server level 🤣

@abucci@anthony.buc.ci Ahh I see 🤔

@abucci@anthony.buc.ci Hmmm what does “ad hominem” mean? 🤔
@prx@si3t.ch So Password Change Day is 25th July? 🤔 Let’s do it! 🤣
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci You have got to be kidding me right? 🤣 Lemme think about that, hmmm, umm, maybe never? 😅
@hacker-news-newest@feeds.twtxt.net I find it interesting to learn just how much the Go compiler can “optimize your code away”. That’s both good and bad.
The point on benchmarking the right thing is 100% spot on, same goes for testing too. The optimization problem however is a bit too contrived IMO. When would you possible write code (aside from very trivial things) where the compiler would optimize all your code away, thus making your benchmarking invalid? I want to see a real-world example of where someone has been caught out by this?
Just what the world of humans ordered! 🤦♂️ A single app owned and controlled by a single corporation that controls every aspect of your life! 😱 – Do we believe Elon Musk is hell bent on becoming the world’s most ruthless dictator yet?’ 🤔
@stigatle@yarn.stigatle.no Yeah we need to do that for our garage 😱
@thecanine@twtxt.net What trend would that be? 🤔
@win0err@kolesnikov.se online radio or over the air?
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci If it smells like a scam… 😅
@jmjl@tilde.green What you’vr described and your question is exactly why the who follows has short lived tokens 😆
Managed to get my own instance of Cryptpad running over at cryptpad.mills.io 👌 It’s not a bad little app really.
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci Seems that way. I had to delete my message and reword it 😅
TIL: You cannot use the work “fucking” (to colloquially mean that was “fucking brilliant”, i.e: a compliant) on Discord servers 🤣
@jmjl@tilde.green If you ever find one, or build one, please let me know too 🙏
@jmjl@tilde.green To avoid abuse.
balzack/databag: A tiny self-hosted federated messenger for the decentralized web. – Tested this quickly today, Mobile App is “okay”, spinning up your own node was painless (~few mins) and so far most things appear to “just work”™
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci That is very disappointing indeed. Not that I ever used it, first I heard of it. Was it any good at the time? 🤔
I give up. 🤦♂️ I can’t figure out how to get anything working with the new tldraw. The fucking REDME doesn’t even work 🤦♂️
