@biblia@twtxt.net The flesh was crucified by Christ on the cross, and has no more power, now we have to take ownership by faith and by the Spirit put to death the misdeeds of the flesh (Rom 8:13 Col 3:5 Gal 5:16 Rom 7-8)
@biblia@twtxt.net “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” Gal 5:24
God is concerned not with the works of the flesh but with “the flesh” itself (Gal. 5.24). Had the tree been put to death, would there be any need to fear lest it bear fruit? The believer busily makes plans to handle sins-which are the fruits, while forgetting to deal with the flesh itself-which is the root. We must therefore deal today with the source of sin.
Psalm 3:1-3 “Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
Many are saying of me,
God will not deliver him.
But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
I call out to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy mountain.”
God is a comfort to the comfortless, a hope to the hopeless, a light to those that sit in darkness, Jesus says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28), Don’t believe me, try by yourself, Whenever you are in desesperate situation pray God, and see the miracle he will do in your life.
Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”
1 John 1:7 “The blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Romans 1:15 “The righteous will live by faith”
Habakkuk 2:5 “The righteous person will live by his faithfulness”.
