Here I am, writting this simple text, and there you are, reading it. There is something quasi-magical in the simplicity of this remote and asyncronous communication, how easy it is for someone, somehow, to write a toot that someone, somehow will be able to read. But for me the real magic is in those two keywords and the variety they represent: the someone, the somehow. You can read this, it does not matter where or how I wrote it. And you, the reader, can be anywere in the world, you can be reading this on a desktop computer, or a tablet, a phone, a wristwatch, via e-mail or RSS, on a fediverse client or maybe a twtxt one. It does not matter if you are my neighbor or across the world, rich or poor, no one needs to know your gender, your height, how many cookies you ate today.

All of this, this quasi-magical simplicity, is possile because we use Open Standards. And today I welcome you to join me in celebrating them, and with you a happy #DocumentFreedomDay !

The “idiossINcrasias” series from the ANTI-DEMOS-CRACIA label starts in June!

It was an ill-kept secret: kokori had the honor of being invited to kickstart this series with the also Portuguese band “Floating Ashes”.

Starting June, ADC will release a series of “idiossINcracies”, a special, limited CD collection, where each volume will showcase two musical projects with five songs from each.

The first volume, to be released on the 16th of June, joins Floating Ashes and kokori, and from this moment on you can already get a sample of it with one track from each project, on the label’s bandcamp:

Being Âœ #kokori I’m suspect, but I agree with the label when they state that “this series promises to be a valuable addition to collectors and followers of experimental and alternative music.”

👉 reservations can be made by sending me a message.

How to do what you want and pretend to listen your community - @mozillaofficial@mozillaofficial ’s edition

At the 26th of February Mozilla presented a few changes - Terms of Use for Firefox - as a done deal, asking for feedback only about the already decided move. Feedback came, and two days later February 28th, they decided to make cosmetic changes to “provide clarity”, changing nothing. At the same time, they were again open for a new round of post-fact comments, only this time they didn’t even bother to try to answer to any of those. Four pages later, and the flux of comments died down - there’s no argument to be had when the other side does not show any signs of listeinng. The last comment there (at this moment) is from the 16th of March.

Twenty days, it was all it took for us to absorb the shock, accept the bad news, consider it ‘old news’ now. Mozilla made the change they wanted anyway, and #Firefox users will just suffer the consequences.
