@adi@twtxt.net No! That’s not a good idea at all, that is in direction violation of the Uniform Resource Identifier standard.
The path component contains data, usually organized in hierarchical
form, that, along with data in the non-hierarchical query component

URI’s scheme and naming authority (if any). The path is terminated
by the first question mark (“?”) or number sign (“#”) character, or
by the end of the URI.
@adi@twtxt.net No mate this is not my opinion at all. If you can’t agree to standards and follow them, then what hope do we have in this industry. Seriously mate, follow the standards and if you actually intend to construct URIs with a ! in them, that’s fine, just understand that is a totally valid URI.
