@marado@twtxt.net I really like what you said [here}(https://twitter.com/mind_booster/status/1592483680211329025) although I donāt think my translation does it justice, so maybe you can re-iterate it here in English? š¤ IIUC I think youāre saying Yarn.social / Twtxt is quite a bit different as we place more of an emphasis on the ādecentralisationā rather than ābuilding a network and protocolsā, if so, this is true, as I try to refer to things as āecosystemā and āspecsā.
@prologic@twtxt.net Well, basically I refer to a āradical decentralizationā, with twtxt you donāt need to host a pod or maintain any software, nor rely on any 3rd parties, you can simply manage a text file, and make it available however works best for you. It provides a quite refreshing sort of independence I mostly miss from the internet of decades ago. Mastodon is nice, but it doesnāt give you /that/.
@marado@twtxt.net Yup completely agree šÆ My goals with Yarn.social was basically always just to provide the tools and convenience for everyday folks š But itās still Twtxt if that makes sense? š¤
@prologic@twtxt.net yup, I have nothing but ā¤ļø for all the work you have been doing around it!š
@marado@twtxt.net Aww shucks š
