How many forks deep is this Bitcoin conversation?
As @movq@www.uninformativ.de said:
Step 1, someone builds something which doesn’t support a “reply” feature at all. Step 2, the thing grows, now people want “reply”. Step 3, it gets confusing with all the linear replies and now people want “full threading”. That’s also basically what happened to twtxt/yarn. Maybe, over time, everything evolves into Usenet.
@prologic@twtxt.net, step 3 when? :)
@mckinley@twtxt.net LOL it’s great isn’t it and all completely decentralized and spread across so many feeds 😆
@prologic@twtxt.net decentralized forum when?
@justamoment@twtxt.net Don’t we already have that now? I’d it’s just a matter of style and presentation we can do things around that 😆
@prologic@twtxt.net damn, your reply got me an idea…
What if you can use a thread as discussion externally?
I was actually searching for something similar around for myself for curiosity.
Think of it like a widget similar to Disqus.
You can embed a discussion on your site like a comment system.
It might even help spread the use of twtxt with people who don’t know of it.
Very beautiful @movq@www.uninformativ.de
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org wow that’s a beast. 😅
See we do support forums 😆
