@carsten@yarn.zn80.net Yes, an option for deliberate cross-posting or POSSE the IndieWeb way is more appealing to me also to keep yarn.social feeling light and clean. In that way your twtxt feed would be the backbone of your own site and then have some middle-ware, which cross-post to your mastodon account and whatever service you fancy to use:
@darch@neotxt.dk I think in that case, crossposting should be out-of-scope for yarnd
and instead we should focus on improving the UI/UX, the API and tooling. Make it easier for people to do what they want.
@prologic@twtxt.net Agree 💯 (which should not suppose you after our talk yesterday)
Looking at the IndieWeb service of Bridgy there might be a fairly easy way of connecing ones yarn-profile to ones mastodon via: Bridgy Fed
And quote of the day from On POSSE and IndieWeb | Joel Auterson
I’ve largely avoided Twitter since Space Karen took over
@darch@neotxt.dk Who is “Space Karen” and what has she got to do with Twitter™? 🤔
@prologic@twtxt.net Really? You can’t telsa
who it is?
@darch@neotxt.dk You gotta remember, I’ve never used Twitter™ 😅
Either that or I’m just daft 🤦♂️
@darch@neotxt.dk don’t we already hav RSS feeds to do that?
@prologic@twtxt.net but you do know who bought twitter last year?
@darch@neotxt.dk I think I’m missing something here… Why/Who is “Space Karen” Are we just making fun of Elon now? 🤣
