text/plain
fiel format / specification for how to minimally publish “Status Updates”. That’s really about it.
So if we agree on this, then “client” are a completely separate thing entirely. Many of the extensions we’ve form consensus around, documented and published – Are in fact based on conventions used by folks in the wild both in the past and present.
Encryption is no different. It’s yet another extension…
But this time with a bit of a modern twist. Using modern crypto like Saltpack which is very similar to GPG in nature, but much better/easier to work with and just as secure, privacy and robust.
