Arghhh, in things you don’t need to know, I’ve been experiencing random Internet disconnections for the last 3 days, and as expected the ISP is saying they are going to remotely reset the router… Let’s see what happens

It’s meant to be public infrastructure, paid for by tax payers, but is run more like a corporate company where nobody can contact anyone when anything goes wrong. NBN CEO Stephen Rue earns a nice fat salary of AUD $3 million per year and the fiber rollout is still sitting at only about 20% of the country 🤦♂️15 years later at a cost of over $150 Billion and counting 🤣 #NBN

Over here ISPs are average compared to Germany, to say something. I’m using a local supplier by wireless antennas (since cable connections were not available when I arrived). It has been good enough, and at least they answer the support chat in seconds.
BTW it seems it’s working better after the reset #weird
@abucci@anthony.buc.ci I myself that very question every time my shitty ass Copper last mile delivered over ~20yr old ancient vDSL technology drops out. 😅 NBN Co is a joke. $150B AUD, 15 years and we still don’t have Fibre everywhere 🤦♂️ And out country isn’t even that big FFS (most of us live on the east cost) 🙄
