Throw your āGet rich quickā plans at me, I wanna be able to afford suing somebody/something about this. š Itās not the first time that this happened and Iām sure itās not gonna be the last.

@quark@ferengi.one Weāre having a nice day out here, Clear sky, 26.2 Ā°C (altough it feels like a ~30 Ā°C) ā¦ no storms! And the most annoying thing is, THIS happens to my monitor whenever there is a power outage:
With each one a row of pixels gets chipped out ā¦ and no I canāt afford a UPS at the moment.

@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org I have no Idea, I still havenāt found a repair shop I can trust with my monitor. As for the blackouts, they donāt have consistent frequency. Sometimes itās once every 3 monthsā¦ other times itās 3 times a day š

@aelaraji@aelaraji.com Hmmm, so it is permanent damage. Damn! :-( Iām no electronics guy, but Iād suspect it to be broken, if unplugging it and plugging it in again doesnāt fix it. Kinda doubt that a repair shop will get it going again. I have no idea where I would bring it over here. The best I can think of is to ask the volunteers at the repair cafĆ© if they have any suggestions, I reckon theyāre not able to fix it either. But that place is only open once a month.
How much of your screen is gone by now? Looks like a lot.
Wow, crazy. A decade ago, I think I only experienced power outages three or maybe four times in my entire life. Since then, they became a bit more frequent. Probably five or six, maybe more. Not sure how many of these events are attributed to construction incidents, where an excavator ripped a power line apart. Last time, loggers threw a tree in an overhead power line, so the power company had to disconnect my area from the grid.
@quark@ferengi.one LOL we repair everything in here š ā¦ I just have a problem with trusting people with my stuff because of past experiences. āBetter a half broken screen than no screenā kind of thing.
