Dobbs Has Created a Health Care Apocalypse
ABBY VESOULIS, Ā ReporterĀ  - Ā Mother Jones

Stephan:Ā Yet another report on the decline of healthcare for women in states controlled by Republicans. Tracking this trend is one of the saddest American stories I have ever tracked. So much misery for no reason other than prejudice.

@prologic@twtxt.net Thanks šŸ˜…

This is my setup, I think I posted these before:

Itā€™s a Celestron Ultima 100 (originally bought for bird watching, not a telescope) with a special adapter so that I can mount my Canon EOS 600D directly. The sun filter is just a generic filter for 100mm scopes. The tripod isnā€™t very good and actually rather annoying. šŸ˜‚

Itā€™s not a very complicated setup. šŸ¤” Being able to mount the camera directly is crucial.

For this #FridayReads and for the seasonal prompt of #May, #animals, I keep reading through the Anne of Green Gables novels, now the 6th in the series, ā€œAnne of Inglesideā€.

I must confess that Montgomeryā€™s lack of effort in some instances frustrates me, to a point when, now in the sixth book (of eight), I found myself wishing for it to just end. Not a good sign! Iā€™ve heard that for some people the 7th and 8th are the best of them, tho, so I am hopeful that things get better.

One great feature of Vim (and probably other editors) is ā€œkeyword completionā€: Type the beginning of a word, then press Ctrl-N and Vim will give autocompletion options by scanning all the words in the current file. For example, when I now type ā€œauā€ and then Ctrl-N, it will suggest ā€œautocompletionā€.

This is so very useful when writing text / prose. Itā€™s especially useful for German text with all those long words like ā€œInformationssicherheitsbeauftragerā€. I use this feature all time and I sorely miss it when Iā€™m forced to use some other crappy editor. šŸ˜©

The reason I bring this up is that part of my ā€œworkflowā€ has become to occasionally use the ā€œDiscoverā€ view to see if Iā€™ve missed any ā€œin-betweenā€ replies that often happen, find new interesting folks to follow and/or interact with, etc.

Changing this to anything but the current behaviour would break this flow for me šŸ˜¢
