@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org You’re joking, but I have no idea about the electronics in that thing. It should be purely passive and purely analogue (there’s no power), but who knows, maybe it’s connected to some cloud service. Like everything else these days.

(Eventually, if it keeps acting up, I’ll open it and have a look. But not yet.)
