Canā€™t believe I just fixed my grandmotherā€™s DVD/TV recorder by giving it a somewhat forceful tap with my hand.

It really must be true that technology just needs a kick sometimesšŸ¤£

Yā€™all just ever look outside during summer and think ā€œoh yeah, that looks like it could be cool outsideā€ only to find out that it really isnā€™t cool outside?

Okay so hear me out: I was looking at the weather widget thing on the windows 10 bar thing at the bottom (you know, that thing Microsoft added near the time - Iā€™m not complaining about it lol) and it said to expect heavy t-storms.

In that moment, my tired af brain couldnā€™t help but picture storm clouds just shaped like the letter T floating through the sky even though I know exactly what t-storm means.

Maybe 11:51pm is too late to be onlineā€¦ :p

I swear birds have gotten away with corrupting the justice system - they get away with things like property damage, aggravated assault, theft, jaywalking and being a public nuisance yet they never get arrested nor do they get sentenced/fined in court.

In-reply-to » NYE is my favourite day of the year because of all the jokes I get to make about doing stuff for the last time this year and doing stuff for the first time next year.

@prologic@twtxt.net Iā€™ve just been busy with life and staying away from coivd lol. Christmas was good - spent the day outside at a park and actually enjoyed it

In-reply-to » So here's me. I'm walking at the lake. Everything is fine. But then, as I get closer to the car, there's all this water everywhere. "Must be the construction work they're doing" I think. Walk a bit further towards the car and holy crap that's a lot of water

@prologic@twtxt.net something might have burst

In-reply-to » Funny story: I was out for a walk and I saw a little QR code on a bridge. I scanned it, expecting either a rickroll or a scam site to show up, but instead it was for a thing called Munzee - geocaching but with QR codes instead. It turns out the QR code has been there for 7 years now.

@prologic@twtxt.net still 404

@prologic@twtxt.net in simple terms, a scavenger hunt that is played in the big world.

More specifically, geocaching is people leaving little trinkets at arbitrary public locations for people to find.

Munzee is similar to geocaching, but instead of physical trinkets, itā€™s QR codes.

In-reply-to » Gah I really need to stop dropping off the surface of twtxt. Hello again everyone!

@prologic@twtxt.net itā€™s nothing to do with twtxt. Life has just been busy lately, with things like university and a project of mine constantly having bugs eating up a major slice of attention.

Then again, I sometimes canā€™t even get the day of the week right ;).

In-reply-to » You're probably wondering why the background scenery of this picture looks a bit different...well it's because I've decided to relocate to a more secluded (yet still publicly accessible) location. Hopefully there won't be anyone squashing the pile here.

@movq the story is that I have a hobby of placing rocks into a pile. The first one I made was flattened during the night. The second one was also flattened, but it wasnā€™t as bad because it wasnā€™t as big. This new pile should hopefully last longer because itā€™s in a less traversed place
