Canāt believe I just fixed my grandmotherās DVD/TV recorder by giving it a somewhat forceful tap with my hand.
It really must be true that technology just needs a kick sometimesš¤£
Donāt worry I havenāt forgotten about twtxt itās just that my life doesnāt really have that much interesting to share right now.
Yāall just ever look outside during summer and think āoh yeah, that looks like it could be cool outsideā only to find out that it really isnāt cool outside?
@prologic@twtxt.net at a lake, and taken some time last year š
Do yāall ever just get the hiccups 3 times in one day? More specifically, 3 times in 4 hours?
Because I did today. Not fun.
Okay so hear me out: I was looking at the weather widget thing on the windows 10 bar thing at the bottom (you know, that thing Microsoft added near the time - Iām not complaining about it lol) and it said to expect heavy t-storms.
In that moment, my tired af brain couldnāt help but picture storm clouds just shaped like the letter T floating through the sky even though I know exactly what t-storm means.
Maybe 11:51pm is too late to be onlineā¦ :p
I swear birds have gotten away with corrupting the justice system - they get away with things like property damage, aggravated assault, theft, jaywalking and being a public nuisance yet they never get arrested nor do they get sentenced/fined in court.
Ngl putting lemon flavour in cookies and biscuits should be illegal - just let me enjoy pre-packaged baking without the tang of lemon.
@prologic@twtxt.net thatās when I did it last year, and I thought itād be a nice tradition to keep ;)
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org maybe coming soon in February. (thatās the rock pile building month lol)
Electric scooters have become a trend where I live lately and thereās kids/teens riding them on roads without helmets. Ngl kinda dangerous #roadsafetypls
@prologic@twtxt.net Iāve just been busy with life and staying away from coivd lol. Christmas was good - spent the day outside at a park and actually enjoyed it
NYE is my favourite day of the year because of all the jokes I get to make about doing stuff for the last time this year and doing stuff for the first time next year.
@prologic@twtxt.net a tutorial on how to use the app would be good.
@prologic@twtxt.net no, I think thatās fine. I suppose if I wasnāt following pretty much everyone that is active here, I wouldnāt be confused.
@prologic@twtxt.net chances are Iāve asked this before, but whatās the difference between the Timeline and Discover tab on the mobile app?
āI donāt use electricityā¦I live off the gridā
~ my mother on the phone to someone (a telemarketer) calling about electricity usage. Note that she is not off the grid and that she does indeed use electricity. She epicly pranked them. š¤£š¤£š¤£
@prologic@twtxt.net something might have burst
@prologic@twtxt.net thatās somewhat similar
So hereās me. Iām walking at the lake. Everything is fine. But then, as I get closer to the car, thereās all this water everywhere. āMust be the construction work theyāre doingā I think. Walk a bit further towards the car and holy crap thatās a lot of water
It was coming rapidly from houses on the hill across from the lake. It was about an inch or so deep too.
@prologic@twtxt.net still 404
@prologic@twtxt.net that unfortunately comes up as 404 page not found.
@prologic@twtxt.net in simple terms, a scavenger hunt that is played in the big world.
More specifically, geocaching is people leaving little trinkets at arbitrary public locations for people to find.
Munzee is similar to geocaching, but instead of physical trinkets, itās QR codes.
Funny story: I was out for a walk and I saw a little QR code on a bridge. I scanned it, expecting either a rickroll or a scam site to show up, but instead it was for a thing called Munzee - geocaching but with QR codes instead. It turns out the QR code has been there for 7 years now.
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org probably. I wouldnāt be surprised if it is one of the seagulls down at the lake missing a foot
Also, Iām once again spreading the word about twtxt
@prologic@twtxt.net @ionores@twtxt.net that isnāt good to hearā¦do you know whatās causing the sickness? I hope you get well soon!
This is the beauty of nature. #LakeMacquarie
@prologic@twtxt.net sā¦shush. Maybe I sometimes forget how to use it ššš¤£
Dang markdown not working
@lyse@lyse.isobeef.org @jlj @prologic@twtxt.net heh, Iāve lost motivation to do that ever since they kept getting flattened.
@prologic@twtxt.net itās nothing to do with twtxt. Life has just been busy lately, with things like university and a project of mine constantly having bugs eating up a major slice of attention.
Then again, I sometimes canāt even get the day of the week right ;).
Gah I really need to stop dropping off the surface of twtxt. Hello again everyone!
@movq the story is that I have a hobby of placing rocks into a pile. The first one I made was flattened during the night. The second one was also flattened, but it wasnāt as bad because it wasnāt as big. This new pile should hopefully last longer because itās in a less traversed place
Youāre probably wondering why the background scenery of this picture looks a bit differentā¦well itās because Iāve decided to relocate to a more secluded (yet still publicly accessible) location. Hopefully there wonāt be anyone squashing the pile here.
(hereās a bonus picture of the surrounding area)
@antonio@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net I know! The last summer got unbearably hot, so Iām glad for cooler temperatures. š§š§š§
@antonio@twtxt.net @prologic@twtxt.net no big plans here either. š
